Supply

Wet and Dry Risers (fire mains) are a vital piece of safety equipment for tall buildings to protect against the risk of fire which could cause extensive damage or even worse, fatalities.
There are two types of system Fire and Safety Solutions Limited (FASS) supply, for buildings above 18m we supply and install dry risers (fire mains) and buildings over 50m we install wet risers. To make sure the correct safety equipment and riser is recommended for installation, one of our experienced surveyors will visit your site to advise you.
All of FASS systems are designed, manufactured and installed to the uppermost of health & safety standards and all equipment we supply conforms with the rigorous requirements of BS5041 and/or LPCB. We pride ourselves on our reputation for excellence and are accredited by the industry bodies NEBOSH and SAFE Contractor.
Install
Fire and Safety Solutions Ltd are able to supply and install Wet or Dry Riser installation anywhere in the UK with all out installations carried out to BS 9990: 2006 standards.
FASS have many years of experience of Wet and Dry Riser installation and all of our engineers are fully qualified, working with Health and Safety awareness as detailed in the Construction Skills Certification Scheme Booklet.
All installations are carried out to the exact requirements following site surveys to ensure accuracy and that any specialist requirements with the installation are accounted for. On completion, the system would have a Hydraulically Pressure, if required, in accordance with BS5306 and BS9990 and full commissioning or test certificate will be provided and a 12 month warranty
Service
The Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005 requires that the responsible person for a premise ensures that all fixed and portable fire fighting equipment is maintained which includes Wet and Dry Risers. It is recommended by The British Standard that Wet and Dry Risers are serviced every 6-months and Hydraulically Pressure Tested once a year.
In addition to the safety aspects, Dry Risers especially can be prone to vandalism as the external “Fire Brigade Inlet” or “Dry Riser Inlet” are red painted and on an external wall. FASS can replace the normal glass front with steel to discourage damage. With Wet Risers there are no external parts.
FASS can also service, supply and replace individual parts such as gate valves (Dry Riser), globe valves (Wet Riser), Inlet breeching valves, galvanised pipes, Dry riser inlet cabinet, Dry riser outlet cabinets, brackets, grooved fittings and fixings.
