Charities and Community Projects
giving back to help others
At Fire and Safety Solutions we believe it is important to support others and to give something back to those who need assistance, whether that is a financial contribution to a charity or community project, or to give a little of our time to advise or just to help out.
FASS have a couple of charities we have supported regularly over a number of years, in addition to this we also assist with one off projects or contributions, details of some of these are shown below. If you would like us to potentially assist with your charity or community project, please get in touch with details of your project and how we may help.
FASS are pleased to support Ambition Aspire Achieve (AAA)
Fire and Safety Solutions Ltd are pleased to support Ambition Aspire Achieve (AAA), a charity founded in June 2016 by Kevin Jenkins OBE, who had a longstanding desire to provide opportunities for children and young people in the London Borough of Newham and surrounding areas.

We are always pleased to be able to support a diverse range of groups, not just charitable organisations, but also clubs such as Godmanchester Town Cricket Club who help to bring the community together and promote and active and healthy lifestyle through team sport.
FASS are pleased to donate a hamper for a Charity Ball in aid of World Child Cancer
Fire and Safety Solutions are pleased to have recently supported Price Bailey Accounts LLP chosen charity, World Child Cancer, by supplying a luxury hamper for their fund raising ball.
Speaking about the charity, Debbie Doyle from Price Bailey Accounts LLP said; “The aim of World Child Cancer is to help children in countries such as Ghana, Cameroon, Bangladesh, Malawi etc. These are countries where children simply do not get diagnosed with Cancer and if by some chance they do, there are no drugs to treat them or the people who know how to treat them. World Child Cancer looks to raise money to provide drugs but more importantly it looks to find ways to make treatment of Child Cancer sustainable.
In November a Charity Ball is to be held to raise further much needed funds for this very worthy cause. Some of our Staff are currently attempting Kilimanjaro – as we speak! We are now supporting Alzheimer’s Society for 2016/17.”
At FASS we are always pleased to be able to support charities where possible and we are delighted that our contribution helped Price Bailey Accounts LLP to raise funds for World Child Cancer. Further information on the charity and the work they do can be found at https://www.worldchildcancer.org/
Food For Forests
We are pleased to be supporting Food for Forests – a new project currently conducting a pilot study to determine if aquaponic farms could have a long-term role in saving the unique and beautiful rainforests of Madagascar.
If the project can self-sustain, it will offer a new way for conservation groups to generate funds for themselves, while also meeting the needs of local people, with the aim of preventing further damage to the environment.

Team Ulanbantoir – Mongol Rally on behalf of ‘Cool Earth’ charity
Fire and Safety Solutions Ltd are proud to be sponsoring ‘Team Ulanbantoir’, 3 young men who are bravely taking on the challenge of the Mongol Rally (a 6 week, 10,000 mile race from London to Mongolia – all done in a 1L – £500 car) to raise money on behalf of ‘Cool Earth’, a charity that buys land back for rainforest communities in the Amazon, Congo and Oceania. They’ve already saved 662,000 acres and we are only too pleased to be able to show our support for this excellent charity, and the boys themselves for taking this on and we wish them well on their exciting adventure.

The Lisa Kent Trust
The Lisa Kent Trust helps to provide education to children & young people in deprived communities of The Gambia, who otherwise would not have the opportunity of schooling. This includes projects building schools, supporting experienced teachers, finding educational resources, whilst ensuring they also attend to the pupil’s medical needs.
At FASS we have supported The Lisa Kent Trust in the great work that they do and are pleased to sponsor a number of children. The trust have kindly said:
Paul & Lesley have supported the Lisa Kent Trust over the past few years by giving the greatest gift to many children – an education. This is a life changing opportunity for these children, which will enable them to get out of the poverty trap and have a better start in life. Children in The Gambia are desperate for an education and wait outside the school gates hoping somebody will sponsor them to go to school.
Paul and Lesley’s ongoing support is invaluable to these young lives.

The Arc in the Park, Newnham (Social Value Programme)
Led by VINCI Facilities the project aim was to refurbish a local community centre, Arc in the Park, East London, within 5 days.
VINCI reached out and asked their suppliers to donate their time and some parts to update the centre, which FASS were only to happy to assist with. In reflection of the nature of our business, VINCI were asked if we could help with the fire alarm aspect and to ensure everything was up to date, safe and compliant.
We installed a complete new fire alarm system and trained the staff on how to use the new system and were delighted to be a part of this community project. It was also very kind of VINCI to recognise the efforts of those who took part by awarding us a Platinum Level Contributor certificate, we hope to to work with VINCI on similar projects in the future.
