The Power Trac Chair can climb stairs up to a maximum of 35 degrees angle, providing an easy and smooth ride both up and down stairs. It can be used in both public and private buildings and is especially designed to be used for basement evacuation where the evacuation process requires the movement of people up stairs first. The chair also has a unique design with a ‘1 step set up process’ making it efficient in an emergency evacuation situation.
The Power Trac can carry a load of up to 130kg and can be used for a variety of weights. The use Of the Power Trac reduces manual handling issues and reduces risk of back injury and with its unique safety brake system allows for a quick, efficient and safe evacuation.

Training
In addition to supplying Emergency Fire Evacuation Chairs, FASS are also able to offer and highly recommend our Evac Chair Training course to ensure that operatives are familiar with the chairs and how they work safely.
For each course we usually recommend a maximum of 14 participates at any one time, this ensures that everyone involved gets plenty of hands on experience with the chair which is encouraged. The training will typically last around 1 hour and can be carried out at your premises, FASS’s Cambridgeshire head office or at a local suitable venue.
As part of the training we recommend that you and the intended operatives train again regularly so that everyone is familiar with how to demount the chair from the wall bracket and are confident to prepare the chair for actual use in an emergency situation such as a fire. It is also possible to have multiple training sessions that follow on from each other if there is a large number of people that need training such as in an NHS hospital for example. All participants will receive a training certificate on completion of the training session.
Servicing
In addition to training, we also provide an annual evacuation chair service which is recommended to ensure not only smooth operation and prolonged life of the chair, but most importantly that it is safe and ready to be used should there be an emergency.
