Fire and Safety Solutions Ltd (FASS) are pleased to confirm that we will be exhibiting at this years Euro Bus Expo 2018, at the NEC in Birmingham between the 30^th of October and the 1^st of November 2018.

The event is the largest of it’s kinds and attracts thousands of visitors from across the World to come and see the latest technology and innovations, showcased by around 300 different exhibitors.

Speaking on FASS’s attendance, Managing Director of FASS said; “Event’s like these provide a really good opportunity for people to see first hand various Fire Safety technologies discuss with us directly what would be most suitable for them or ask us advice. We have a number of Fire Safety items relevant to the bus and transport industry and I am most excited to show to people our Vehicle Fire Suppression System which quickly reacts to an engine fire and discharges an extinguishing agent directly on the source of the fire.”

Fire and Safety Solutions Ltd (FASS) are pleased to welcome to the team at our Huntingdon head office, Kay, who is our first female Fire Extinguisher Technician.

Kay will be using her expertise in the supply of and servicing of fire extinguishers for our clients across Cambridgeshire along with the rest of the team, covering our extensive range of extinguishers for a variety of different applications.

Speaking on the appointment of Kay, Paul Wilkinson, Managing Director of FASS said; “I’m delighted to have Kay as part of our expanding team of qualified and expert technicians. There is no getting away from the fact that fire safety industry roles have been traditionally occupied by men, but there is no reason why this should be the case. So I am really pleased that Kay accepted the role and we have our first female Fire Extinguisher Technician here at FASS.”

Fire and Safety Solutions (FASS) offer our congratulations to Warner Edwards Gin on their recent Silver Medal win at the RHS Chelsea Flower Show 2018.

The Northamptionshire based craft distillery have been gaining high acclaim for their bespoke flavoured gins using locally sourced botanicals. All of which is distilled in their handmade still called ‘Curiosity’ – a work of art in itself!

With such a precious piece of equipment as ‘Curiosity’ and with a high volume of flammable liquids on site, Warner Edwards called upon FASS to offer our expertise and products with fire safety products that also reflected the beautiful copper still.

We are pleased to have been able to supply our copper effect ‘Prestige Range’ of extinguisher, seen pictured alongside the still at the Chelsea Flower Show and in addition we have been awarded the contract to provide fire safety equipment for Warner Edwards head office and warehouse facility.

Speaking on the recent contract, Managing Director of FASS, Paul Wilkinson said; “It’s great to be involved with a company such as Warner Edwards who take great pride and passion in their bespoke gin. It’s equally positive to see they also take safety just as seriously, especially with so much flammable liquid on site. At Fire and Safety Solutions Ltd (FASS) we have been established in the industry for many years now and many of our staff have decades of fire safety equipment experience, which is why we will only recommend, supply and install equipment that we feel offers the very best to our customers and is of the highest quality. We are therefor pleased to showcase the MODUM Fire Escape Ladder, which we believe is market leading for its high quality construction, discreet storage and excellent performance in an emergency.

We have been really impressed with the finish of the ladders which is a weather-proof anodised aluminum and comes in a range of colours. The ladder themselves fold away to discreetly sit against the side of the building and are suitable for buildings up to 3 floors high or up to 10 meters. Because the ladders are also tamper proof from the bottom but easy to release from the upper floors, this is a great product for ensuring the safety of people in buildings that are higher than a single story.
